What is an unsuspecting witch? I hear you ask.
It never occurred to me that I might be a witch. Sure, I’d always liked ‘weird’ stuff; I used crystals, believed in the natural power of plants, I can smell the change in seasons – and if people don’t think I’ve lost the plot on that one, I talk to trees, plants and animals and believe that all living things have a soul or spirit, I would make little concoctions to help me with certain situations and fill them with my intention. But none of those things mean you’re a witch; despite what social media might have you believe, there is no checklist. I had never come across real life witches and if someone had told me I was a witch I would have laughed and pointed out that I rarely wear black. But time spent in bed with Covid gave me plenty of time to read, and I quickly learned that witches come in all shapes and sizes – they don’t all wear black, they don’t all worship a deity – in fact, most of them are like me and all had their own individual path that was unique to them. It was at that point that everything fell into place and just felt ‘right’ for me.
Through this blog, I’ll share with you my journey, how I got to where I am today on my path and what I’m doing to enhance my practices.
I don’t know everything, nobody does, but what I do know has helped me turn my life around.
