Full Moon Ritual

Tonight is the full moon in Capricorn, or as I prefer to call it, my moon. The full moon in Capricorn emphasises all my Capri traits and so it is a fantastic energy for me to work with. The full moon is always a great time for spell work, but for where I am currently in my life, I’m drawn to using the energy to help me become the best version of myself and giving me the power to work towards and accomplish my goals. Here are a few things I will be doing.

Full Moon Cleansing Shower

The herbal blend I will use for for this particular cleanse has a distinctly summery feel with white rose, lavender, jasmin, juniper berries, bay lead and some Frankincense oil. The botanicals will have been harvested from my garden where possibly. This shower will not only physically cleanse me, but also cleanse my energy, allowing me to release and negative or stagnant energy. This is one of the simplest things you can do. Pop the herbs in a pouch and hang it in your shower, let the aroma fill your shower and as you wash, visualise all that nasty negative energy flowing down the drain and away from your space.

Money Bowl

Due to the fact I will be moving home shortly, I’m switching up my money bowl; it’s quite elaborate certainly not for putting in a travel alter! Usually I run the candle from New Moon to Full Moon and then continue to ‘feed’ the bowl until the next new moon, but the candle will spent in the afternoon and the bowl dismantled. The accrued money will be placed in my money pot as usual and I shall put together a simple jar, the contents of which I’m still deciding.

Write a Letter to the Universe

Before starting my main ritual, I will write a letter to the Universe releasing any situations that no longer serve my higher good. This will then be burnt and I’ll watch those situations drift of, leaving me free to work on situations that will benefit the highest good of myself and others.

Moon Water

It goes without saying that on every full moon my garden will be strewn with bottles waiting to absorb that lush lunar energy. This water will be used in baths, simmer pots, cleansing sprays etc etc. I’ll still be doing this, but for this full moon I am also going to make some charged drinking water and ritualise the process for an extra kick. This will involve a garden alter, lots of candles and charging the water with my intention under the moonlight, pretty certain there will be some loose incense burning too. It’s not going to be dark here when the moon peaks, but we can’t have everything. For me, this Super Full Moon will be about harnessing my personal power to bring in my carer and personal goals.

As with everything I do, this is what is in my head and my body might let me down, having an auto-immune condition is fun. I’ve also not gone into details about what I will do because I’m a little bit chaotic with some intuition thrown in, but I will post details after the event.
