I found myself when I lost myself
Summer has been an absolute whirlwind for me and hence I’ve been a little absent. But this absence caused me to reflect on the journey I have taken to reach this point in my life. And it was quite a journey! In 2012 (it’s hard to believe that it’s been 11 years) I had a rather spectacular breakdown (the first of many). I booked myself a cottage in the Peak District and disappeared for a week; I needed to get away from reality and allow myself to just ‘be’, to be at one with myself and with nature. Witchy Finds – Simmer Pot
I am a huge fan of a simmer pot, there truly is one for every mood or intention. I find the whole process of choosing and preparing the ingredients therapeutic and then get to enjoy the beautiful aromas that fill the house as the pot does its thing on the stove. But I don’t always want to have a pot going on the stove, I might just want a personal one in my office/alter room or to focus on a specific area in the house. The Tarot Journey
I first started reading tarot cards over twenty years ago, but life happened, and this took a back seat until last year. When I picked up my new deck, I found I needed to completely reconnect with how I read the cards; I have so much more life experience now which allows for a wider interpretation and it was a totally different ball game than when I was in my early 20s. So I went back to basics, connecting with the cards and my spirit team, asking set questions which only required a single card pull.
