Strawberry Full Moon: Gentle Rituals for Spoonies
June’s full moon is best known as the Strawberry Moon, however it is also referred to as the Rose Moon in some European is on June 11, 2025. It’s the final full moon before the summer solstice and is a symbol of abundance and renewal under a soft, honey-hued glow, as it appears unusually low on the horizon. The power of this moon makes it perfect for a full moon magic ritual.
What Makes the Strawberry Moon Special?
- This Strawberry Moon will be lowest full moon in nearly two decades. Its reddish-golden hue is due to atmospheric scattering and this may be intensified by the forest fires in Canada

- It bridges spring and summer; a moment rich with growth, abundance, and seasonal shift.

- It was named the Strawberry Moon by Native American communities during strawberry harvest time. In European countries it was referred to as the Rose Moon. However, Strawberry Moon has now been widely adopted.

Full Moon Magic: What It Is & Why It Matters
Full moon energy helps us release, celebrate, and set intentions:
- Release what no longer serves – energetically, emotionally, or physically.
 - Amplify gratitude and joy for what’s already present.
 - Manifest gentle shifts aligned with your heart and body.

For spoonies whose energy is precious, this is an invitation: work with the moon, not against it.
Spoonie-Friendly Full Moon Magic
Tailored to honour low energy and sensitivity, choose a simple full moon magic ritual which can meet you where you are:
1. Strawberry (or Rose) Tea & Release
- What you need: A cup of strawberry or rose herbal tea, journal or simple paper.
 - How to: As the moon rises, sit with your tea. List three things you want to gently let go of; this can be physical tension, guilt, overwhelm etc. Crumple the paper and set it aside (into compost or discard in your bin).

2. Moonlight Soak or Foot Bath
- What you need: Warm bath or foot soak, Epsom salts, optional lavender or rose petals or strawberry leaves if you have them.
 - How to: Under moonlight (or candlelight), soak for 10–15 minutes. Visualise the moon’s glow washing through you, cleansing, calming and restoring you.

3. Affirmation Stone Ritual
- What you need: A smooth stone or crystal, pen.
 - How to: Write a simple affirmation – “I am enough”, “I release with grace”, “I allow peace”. Hold it under the moonlight, breathe into the words. Keep it nearby for ongoing support – you can keep it in your wallet or phone case.

Gentle Guidance & Intentional Care
- Don’t feel pressured to do it perfectly, or fret that it has to be done today; the full moon’s energy will still be with us tomorrow. These rituals are about gentle intention, not performance. You could combine two of the rituals, perhaps sip your rose tea while soaking in a warm bath – do what feels right for you.

Anchor these with your needs: sit, lie down, sip slowly – do whatever nourishes your body first.
- Remember to rest deeply after, even if it’s just closing your eyes for a few minutes.
